Members

The Physics department at Hindu Girls’ College is a very dynamic department which is mostly driven by women, with more than 10 years of teaching experience in the field. We take pride in the fact that the department thrives for excellence in the teaching and learning experience of our students.

Throughout the years we have been offering personal and global instruction, and attention whereby students are encouraged to pursue their interests and gain hands-on experience through lab-based experiments, national and international competitions and exposure to developments in the outside world, mostly new research and findings.

While our School Certificate results always show a 100 % pass with many students getting distinctions and credits, our Higher School Certificate results are alsoata 100% pass almost every year. However, our dedicated teachers also focus on the overall development of our girls. Hindu Girls’ College has been the first girls school to win the Glider Competition. Our students have also shone in many other such competitions.

The way forward

The Physics department has always been experimenting and trying outnew strategies,and techniques, to provide our students with the best chance of shining and achieving their goals. While the members of the department are conscious that it is not easy to groom young women in STEAM in the present social and cultural scene, the department looksforward to seeing our girls break all social confines and excel in fields like Astronomy, Partical Physics and Quantum Physics, amongst so many other amazing branches of Science. At the end of the day, we want our girls to know that the sky was never the limit and that this Universe is theirs to explore and rule.
